Your practice is private by design. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have over it.

1.What we collect

Account details (name, email), the text transcripts of your practice sessions, feedback and scores, and basic usage data that helps us improve the product.

When you answer an AI practice question by voice, the audio is sent for transcription and is not retained — we store the resulting text, not a recording of your voice.

2.How we use it

To run practice interviews, generate honest feedback, track your progress, and keep your account secure. We do not sell your personal data — ever.

3.How AI practice uses your profile

To make a practice round feel like a real interview rather than a quiz, the AI interviewer is given context about you before it starts: your profile, your uploaded resume, the questions you were asked in recent rounds, and your score breakdown. That is what lets it ask about work you have actually done and avoid repeating a question you have already answered.

Your contact details are never included. Email address, phone number, location and personal links are removed before anything is sent to the AI provider.

The interviewer will not discuss any of this with you during a round, and it is not shared with anyone else. Deleting a practice session removes it from what future rounds are built on.

4.Who can see your sessions

By default, only you. Your transcripts and scores are private to your account.

Recruiters can only discover your profile if you explicitly opt in, and you choose what is visible.

5.Live interviews

Interviewers in a booked live session can see and hear you during that session and leave feedback afterward.

We do not record live interviews. The session itself takes place over the meeting or phone link and is not captured or stored by 99interview.

6.Data retention

You can delete any individual practice session, or your entire account, at any time. Deleted data is removed from our active systems promptly and from backups in due course.

7.Security

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is restricted and audited.

8.Your rights

You can access, export, correct, or delete your data, and withdraw consent for recruiter visibility, from your profile settings or by emailing privacy@99interview.com.

Interview practice for developers. Run a round on your own with AI, or book a live 40-minute session with a working engineer.
